Vanilla sponge cake

Ingredients:

Whole wheat flour 1.5cups
Baking powder 1/2tsp
Baking soda 1tsp
Curd 1cup
Milk as required
Sugar 3/4cup
Vanilla essence 1tsp
Ghee/oil 1/2cup

Method:

Sift the whole wheat and keep aside. 

Whisk the curd in a deep bowl, add sugar and mix well. Add baking soda and baking powder and leave it. It will start bubbling after a few minutes. 

Add ghee/oil to it and mix.  Then add vanilla essence and mix. 
Gradually add the sifted flour to the wet mixture and keep folding the flour. 
Add milk gradually as needed to make the batter soft. 

Pre-heat the microwave at 180°. Pour the batter in the mould. Place it on low wire rack in the pre-heated microwave. Let the cake bake for 25-30 minutes. Intermittently check for readiness after 25 mins. 

Once done, let the cake cool down. Unmould it on the wire rack and let it cool completely before cutting it into pieces to serve.

chocolate cake

Ingredients:

Whole wheat flour 1 cup
Sugar powdered 1 cup
Baking powder 1tsp
Baking soda 1tsp
Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
Curd 2 tbsp
Oil 1/2 cup
Warm water 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence 1tsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Tutti frutti

Method:

Sift the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, baking powder , and baking soda together and keep it aside. 

Mix oil and warm water in a deep bowl, until they are well combined. Let it cool down. Add vanilla essence and milk. Then add curd and mix everything together. 

Now gradually add the sifted flour mixture to the bowl with wet ingredients. Keep folding the flour in the batter so that no lumps remain. 
Add tutti frutti and mix once again. 

Preheat the microwave at 180°
Pour the batter in the mould. And let it cook in the preheated microwave for about 35-40 minutes.

Keep a check after 30 minutes.
